El Salvador bought 100 extra Bitcoins (BTC-USD) during the Black Friday sell-off, when BTC dropped to as low as $53.6K per token, according to El Salvador President Nayib Bukele's tweet. "100 extra coins acquired with a discount," he says. The purchase price for these tokens were not mentioned. Since then, Bitcoin (BTC-USD) has retraced most of its losses to $57.4K as stock markets around the globe recover from Friday's broad nosedive. Most recently, El Salvador, the first country to make BTC legal tender, plans to build "Bitcoin City" starting next year.
