AXS Investments to launch Bitcoin-futures ETF, as well as a 1x inverse version

AXS Investments intends to launch two new Bitcoin-related ETFs, the AXS Bitcoin Strategy ETF and the AXS Short Bitcoin Strategy ETF. The AXS Bitcoin Strategy ETF will be an actively managed fund that aims to invest all or substantially all of its assets in bitcoin futures contracts, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The fund will compete with other Bitcoin-strategy funds that have launched in the past few days, such as the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (NYSEARCA:BITO) and Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF (NASDAQ:BTF). Meanwhile, the AXS Short Bitcoin Strategy ETF will be a -1x inverse Bitcoin-futures ETF according to the prospectus. This fund will provide investors with the opportunity to bet against Bitcoin (BTC-USD) with Futures inside of an ETF wrapper. However, as with other Bitcoin-futures ETFs, neither of these funds will directly invest in bitcoin, as U.S. regulators haven't authorized that at this time.
