Upcoming fullscreen Xperia smartphones leak in images

Two new Xperia smartphones have leaked, sporting the in vogue fullscreen bezel-less designs. The images come courtesy GizChina.com, who are confident these are indeed images and not renders. The two devices not just look different from current Xperia devices but also between each other. One device has the current squarish Xperia design with what look like speaker grilles at the top and bottom on the front. Sony’s phones don’t have a working fingerprint sensor in the US, have confusing names, and are almost always expensive. But software updates is where Sony really shines, and now the company is updating two more phones to Oreo.

Xperia XZ1 drops to $600 in the US with a free Xperia Ear

A while back the Sony Xperia XZ1 flagship dropped to $ 650, but now Cyber Monday brings an even lower price – $ 600. And you can score a free Xperia Ear, which cost $ 200 at launch last year. B&H Photo Video is selling the dual-SIM model (G8342) for $ 600. It’s available in Black, Moonlit Blue, Venus Pink and Warm Silver. This includes a free Xperia Ear Bluetooth earbud (currently valued at $ 130). Amazon also asks $ 600 for the XZ1 (dual-SIM again), though it doesn’t bundle the Ear. Sony Xperia X Performance now getting Oreo

Sony is on a roll – the Xperia X Performance is the latest in its lineup to get updated to Android 8.0 Oreo. This comes shortly after the XZ and Xzs and the XA1 series updates. You can head to the About screen of your phone to check if the update is available. It may not be as it just started rolling out and likely does not cover all regions yet.
