Mobvoi’s Ticwatch S and E smartwatches are now available in Europe. The letters stand for “Sport” and “Express” respectively and the designs have already won awards – an iF Product Design award for the S and Good Design Award for the E. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Google-backed Mobvoi launched the Ticwatch S and E in the US last year, following on from the impressive TicHome Mini Google Assistant speaker. The stylish Ticwatches now run Wear OS 2.9 out of the box (Android Wear 2.0 at time of initial release) and are making their way across the Atlantic to the UK. They’re both available to purchase from today.

It’s a bit of a strange time in the smartwatch world right now. The novelty seems to have worn off a little, and while some have really bought into the scene, many remain skeptical (myself included). Android Wear 2.0 was delayed, as was its eventual roll out to compatible devices. At the same time, luxury brands have tried to ignite some interest, with Tag Heuer’s $ 1,500 Connected Modular 45 leading the charge.
