Looking To Own Your IPad? Start With These Important Pointers

Have you tried using your iPad for certain things, and it hasn’t quite worked out the way you wanted? Well, it’s probably because you just need a little more help understanding what exactly you can do to make things more efficient. A few tips and tricks should help point you in the right direction.

If you haven’t ever had a tablet before, you may be overwhelmed. The iPad is incredibly user friendly and almost impossible to screw up. Just start playing with it and see how much you can figure out alone. Even the most computer inept should be able to handle an iPad.

If you’ve ever been interrupted by your iPad at a bad time you likely want to know how to silence it quickly. Mute the volume quick by pressing and then holding your volume down button. Do this until you can’t hear anything. The lock button can be turned into a mute button as well.

You can stop annoying Wi-Fi joining messages on your iPad. If you’re tired of getting asked to join various Wi-Fi networks constantly, this can be taken care of under Settings and Wi-Fi. Switch off Ask to Join Networks. You may still join any network that you’ve already got from this screen, you just will not be harassed constantly.

Put an end to WiFi connect messages. Tired of being notified every time you stray into a WiFi zone? In the Wi-Fi section of Settings, there is an option to turn off “Ask to Join Networks.” You can still manually join any network, the iPad will just stop notifying you of every time one is in range.

A great feature of the iPad is the zoom features. You can easily zoom in and out of any website by pinching with two fingers on the screen. This will help you select tiny links or features when they are larger. You can also double-tap on any image or text to enable auto-zoom.

Create folders to better organize your iPad screens. Just get your screen to jiggle mode and then place the icons on each other if you would like them in the same folder and repeat until you have everything where you want it. This feature is great when you have twenty or more icons.

FaceTime phone numbers and emails should be set up. It defaults to the email you used when you set up the iPad. If you have more that you want set up, you can do it under settings.

When using your iPad to input a large volume of text, use this time-saving tip. When you get to the end of a sentence, do not type a period. Instead, you can tap the space bar twice in rapid succession. This will automatically insert a period followed by a single space for you to begin your next sentence.

Be selective about your notifications. Under the Settings menu, navigate to Notifications. Adjust the settings until you are satisfied with which apps trigger notifications and which ones don’t. This keeps you from being nagged by rarely used apps. It also keeps important notifications from being buried by less important ones.

You can show the web your strongest emotions by simply turning your caps lock on with new iOS devices, such as the iPad. Rather than fighting the shift key over and over again, you can now double tap the button and enter caps-lock mode. This setting is great for typing an entire sentence or paragraph in a capital font.

The best case truly insures your iPad against damage. You should invest more than a few dollars in a strong, protective hard or soft case. A folio is another excellent choice as it protects both the screen and the iPad itself. -80 is a good estimate of the cost of a truly protective case, so don’t cheap out!

The new keyboard is packed full of features, so many that some appear to be hidden. The new apostrophe key is tucked away within the virtual keyboard on the second screen. Press the “!” key for a few moments and you can circumvent this second page page with an immediate apostrophe.

While this wasn’t possible on the previous generations, it is very simple to make a folder on your main page now. Simply drag one icon onto another, and you will be presented with the option of creating a new folder. This is a great way to organize and clean up your main screen.

There are many online forums for iPad users. You can learn so much from others who already know how to use the device. This lets you learn and share, too. You can go to this forum if you have any issues and get some pretty fast help.

One way to monitor the volume much more quickly and efficiently on your iPad is to use the lock button to mute your device. You can also press and hold the volume button to change it quickly as well. Many people are unaware that the lock button is a mute button and that the volume button can work faster by pressing and holding.

If you only have wifi, but not 3g, you can still get a lot of use out of your iPad. Not only can you download songs beforehand, you can also download most of your applications while within wifi range and then use it anywhere. This is also true for podcasts.

If you have a child or a minor using your iPad, you may be interested in turning off mature content. To do this, tap on general, restrictions, and then enable restrictions. This feature will block TV shows, movies, and apps that are “mature audience” rated. Also, podcasts that have an “explicit” tag will be blocked.

Maybe you didn’t have a good background of information for using your iPad efficiently before, but now you’re ready! Utilize the advice you’ve read, and continue to expand your knowledge. You will be using your iPad for just about everything. Have fun, enjoy yourself, and take your iPad with you everywhere!

During the first day we spent with the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, we focused on introductions and a hardware overview. We’ve had a bit more time with it now and we want to share our thoughts on the updated UI (and its gestures) along with camera, including testdriving the HDR mode. As you may have heard, Xiaomi is on a path to give you as much screen real estate as it can and the way to do it doesn’t include a notch. Instead, the company slimmed the bezels as far as they would go and even removed the familiar Android navigation buttons. These buttons have been replaced with gestures – swipe…

When a person screws up we call it human nature. So what does it mean when a machine that’s trying to imitate our intelligence makes a mistake? Is this the Moto Z3 Play in these case renders?

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Most of the H1 2018 flagships are already out, but Motorola is yet to show its hand. The expected Moto Z3 Play just appeared in case renders, revealing the modular design will stay for the third generation of Moto Z phones. A big noticeable difference is the fingerprint scanner, finding its way on the right side, probably because there will be no room on the front where a taller display is fitted. The front of the Moto Z3 Play is shown with one camera, while the circular module on the back will house two snappers, coupled with a dual-LED flash. The mods contact module has been…

Review: These two ultra-rugged phones can survive even the clumsiest of owners

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Imagine if someone extracted and condensed the sheer rugged bad-assery of 24’s Jack Bauer, and put it into a phone. Two phones, actually. Over the past couple of months, I’ve had the opportunity to play around with two ultra-rugged handsets: the Aermoo M1 and the Blackview 9000 Pro. These phones are like nothing you’ll see at your local Best Buy. For starters, they’re intended for a more niche audience of adventurers, construction workers, and anyone who spends time in the great outdoors. And when I say ultra-rugged, I mean it. They’re designed from the outset to be rough-and-tough. That means…

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Now, self-publishing platform and ebook distributor Smashwords has teamed up with production platform and audiobook distributor Findaway Voices to give these indie authors a cheaper way to make audiobooks.

In an announcement, Smashwords CEO Mark Coker said today the deal would give “greater control over pricing and distribution” to authors and publishers, making it more “economically feasible” to get into audiobook production even with short or cheaper books. By using Findaway, Smashwords’ authors…
