YouTube app now shows YouTube TV watch history, but it doesn’t do anything yet

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

YouTube and YouTube TV don’t share much other than the name, but that might change soon. Buried deep in the YouTube app is your watch history from YouTube TV. This suggests there will be some connection later, but right now it just throws up errors when you try to open a video.

There have actually been a few links between YouTube and YouTube TV deep in the settings previously, but this is much more obvious. To check it out, head to the library tab in YouTube and tap on “History.” In addition to videos you’ve watched on YouTube, you should see live channels and individual programs you’ve watched on YouTube TV (you have to be a subscriber, of course).

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Facebook today announced it was rolling out an update to its News Feed to combat fake news. While the initial purpose of the update appears to be giving users context for the news stories they read. But the update also has a hidden second purpose: Showing you which of your friends are sharing bogus news stories. The new update, first tested last year, gives users more context for news posts. By tapping on the “i” icon next to the story’s headline, you’ll be shown the source’s Wikipedia article, related articles, and a map showing where the story has been shared…

LG G7 render leak shows display notch and dual rear cameras

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S9 has launched, many mobile enthusiasts have turned their attention to one of the next Android flagships in the pipeline, the LG G7. And the good news for them is that some new details on the G7 have leaked.

Renders that claim to show the LG G7 have made their way online. Shared by OnLeaks and TheMrPhone, these renders are based off of leaked factory CAD schematics.

The renders show a slab of a phone with a large screen that has minimal bezels. Like the iPhone X and some recent Android flagships from other companies, this LG G7 appears to have a display notch. Around back there’s a vertically stacked dual camera setup with a fingerprint reader below it. And at the bottom of the phone is a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

LG G7 renders leak

Today’s report also claims to have some spec info for the LG G7. The device will reportedly feature a 6-inch display, Snapdragon 845 processor, dual 16MP rear cameras, and two models with different RAM and storage options: one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

These leaked specs line up with what we’ve heard in the past about the LG G7. Most of those specs fit with what we’d expect from an Android flagship in 2018, but we’ll have to wait until the G7 is officially announced before we know for sure if they’re accurate. The good news is that LG is rumored to be aiming for a May launch for the G7, so it may not be long before all is revealed.

Based on what we’ve heard about the LG G7 so far, are you looking forward to this flagship?

Study shows social media echo chambers might actually be a good thing

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

A group of researchers, as part of a social experiment, paid liberals and conservatives on Twitter to follow a bot for a month that tweeted political views from the other side. Shockingly, rather than softening their own views or learning to understand the opposition, most participants dug in deeper. We’re not partisan out of ignorance, it seems, but because we fundamentally disagree. Social media echo chambers take a lot of grief. There’s a popular perception that people get stuck inside their own biased worlds and become oblivious to the ‘reality’ the opposing side understands. But perhaps they’re actually doing us…

The Play Store mobile client now shows original release dates for apps

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

The Play Store has long shown the date an app or game was last updated, but now you get a bit more historical information. The Play Store mobile client has started showing the release date for apps. So, you’re a few taps away from finding out how long most apps have been on the Play Store. I say “most” because a few are showing obviously incorrect dates.

The “Released on” date at the bottom of the listing when you tap on “Read more.” Google’s apps are, obviously, among the oldest with release dates around 2010.

OnePlus 6 shows off its woodgrain back in new leaked image

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Although its release is only expected to happen in June, we’ve been seeing quite a few leaks regarding the OnePlus 6 recently. Add to that the fact that you can no longer buy the OnePlus 5T in the US, and we’re left wondering: has the Chinese company decided to out its next flagship smartphone sooner than initially planned? While we don’t know that yet, we can show you another image of the phone. Here it is showing off a very interesting texture on its back, in a shot that comes courtesy of Evan Blass (a.k.a. @evleaks). The design fits with what we saw from a purported hands-on back…
