Apple Seeds First Beta of macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 to Developers

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 update to developers, just under one week after releasing the macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 update.

The new macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 beta can be downloaded through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store with the proper profile installed. The update does not appear to be listed in the Apple Developer Center at the current time, but it is available for developers who previously installed the macOS High Sierra beta profile.

It’s not yet clear what improvements the fifth major update to macOS High Sierra will bring, but it’s likely to include bug fixes and performance improvements for issues that weren’t addressed in macOS High Sierra 10.13.4.

We are waiting on several features to come to macOS and iOS, including Messages on iCloud, a feature that was in the iOS 11.3 beta but later pulled. Messages on iCloud has been reintroduced in the iOS 11.4 beta and is likely in macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 as well.

The previous macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 update brought support for external graphics processors (eGPUs) along with Business Chat in Messages and several other bug fixes and smaller feature improvements.

We’ll update this post should any new features be discovered in macOS High Sierra 10.13.5.

Apple Seeds First Public Beta of tvOS 11.4 for Public Beta Testers

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming tvOS 11.4 update to its public beta testing group, one day after providing the beta to developers and a little under a week after releasing tvOS 11.3, a minor update that introduced a few smaller features.

The tvOS 11.4 public beta can be obtained by going to the Settings app on the Apple TV and navigating to the Software Updates section under “System.” “Get Public Beta Updates” will need to be toggled on, and once it is, the Apple TV will download the beta software.

tvOS 11.4 and iOS 11.4 reintroduce AirPlay 2 features that were included in early iOS 11.3 and tvOS 11.3 betas but were pulled from the update ahead of its release.

AirPlay 2 is designed to let you play the same audio content on multiple devices throughout your home, full a whole-home audio experience. AirPlay 2 works with the Apple TV, the HomePod, and it will work with future speakers that implement AirPlay 2 support.

Following the installation of iOS 11.4 and tvOS 11.4, the Apple TV will once again be listed in the Home app, as it was when AirPlay 2 features were available in iOS and tvOS 11.3 betas.

No other major feature changes were discovered in the tvOS 11.4 beta that was provided to developers.

Apple Seeds First Beta of watchOS 4.3.1 to Developers

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming watchOS 4.3.1 update to developers, a little under one week after releasing watchOS 4.3, a major update that introduced portrait Nightstand mode and iPhone music controls on Apple Watch.

Once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Apple Developer Center, the new watchOS beta can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General –> Software update.

To install the update, the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50 percent battery, it must be placed on the charger, and it has to be in range of the iPhone.

It’s not yet clear what new features will be introduced in the watchOS 4.3.1 update, but it’s likely to include bug fixes for issues that have been discovered since the release of watchOS 4.3.

Should we find any new features in the watchOS 4.4 beta, we’ll update this post.

Apple Seeds Seventh Beta of macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 to Developers and Public Beta Testers

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Apple today seeded the seventh beta of an upcoming macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 update to developers and public beta testers, one week after seeding the sixth beta and over a month month after the release of a macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 Supplemental Update to address a bug that could cause apps to crash when receiving a character from the Indian language Telugu.

The new macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 beta can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center or through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store with the proper profile installed.

macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 includes bug fixes and performance improvements for issues that weren’t addressed in macOS High Sierra 10.13.3.

The update offers support for some features that are available in iOS 11.3, like Messages on iCloud, which uploads all of your iMessages to the cloud. It will also support Business Chat, a feature coming when iOS 11.3 and macOS 10.13.4 are released to the public, and it includes support for eGPUs. Apple released release notes for macOS High Sierra beta 6 in certain countries, providing details on what’s included in the update. The notes are below:

– Adds support for Business Chat in Messages in the U.S. and Canada
– Adds support for external graphics processors (eGPU)
– Fixes a graphical corruption issue affecting some iMac Pro apps
– Adds a keyboard shortcut for moving to the rightmost open tab in Safari by pressing Command +9
– Adds a feature for sorting Safari bookmarks by name or URL
– Fixes a bug that could prevent links from appearing in Messages
– Improves protection o confidential data by filling usernames and password fields in Safari only when selected
– Displays new warnings in the Safari Smart Search Field when interacting with forms that require credit card data or passwords on unencrypted web pages
– Displays more information on how personal data is used by certain features

The macOS 10.13.4 update also brings the smoke cloud wallpaper that was previously only available on the iMac Pro and it introduces a warning when opening up a 32-bit app as part of an effort to phase them out.

In the future, Apple plans to phase out 32-bit Mac apps, just like it did with 32-bit iOS apps. Apple says macOS High Sierra is the last version of macOS that will support 32-bit apps without compromises.

We’re nearing the end of the macOS High Sierra beta testing period and a release could come any day now.
