Alexa Announcements one-way voice feature rolling out to Echo devices

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Amazon is rolling out a feature today that lets users broadcast messages to connected Echo devices. The company is calling it Alexa Announcements, and the functionality is very similar to the broadcast feature Google Home has had since late last year.

Telling an Echo “announce,” “broadcast” or “tell everyone” something will make all connected devices on the account relay the message. “Millions of customers already have more than one Echo device in their home,” Amazon says, and given that Echo devices have have been able to function as two-way intercoms and make phone calls since last year, this feature seems like a logical step.

Android 8.0 Oreo rolling out to US unlocked Galaxy Note8

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Unlocked Android phones typically receive faster updates, as they are not subject to carrier update testing. Despite this, unlocked Samsung phones in the US are almost always updated after the carrier models, and this time is no exception.

Android 8.0 Oreo is finally rolling out to the unlocked Note8 – after the Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile versions already received the update. The OTA is roughly 1.1GB in size, and should be identical to the other Note8 Oreo updates (minus the carrier bloatware).

Reddit has redesigned its website and the changes begin rolling out today, marking the first time in a decade that the social media network has altered its interface. One percent of users will see the new design today, and over the course of the next few months, the design will come to all Reddit users and lurkers, as Wired reports. As of now, those who see the change can still switch back to the old Reddit.

The new Reddit design replaces the navigation bar with a menu on the left corner, which resembles a lot of trendy website templates available on Squarespace, Wix, or Tumblr. The menu opens up to display links to feeds, subreddits you follow, and user profiles. Users will be able to choose to view Reddit in three modes: “classic view”…

Specifically, Netherlands and Luxembourg are the regions where the update is currently live. Needless to say, there’s currently no information on what all issues are fixed in the patch. Given the roll out has just begun, it may take time for the notification to pop up on your handset’s screen, so be patient. Via

Play Store site redesign now rolling out to everyone

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Earlier this month, Google began testing a new design for the Play Store’s website. While the larger screenshots and dedicated review pages were much-needed changes, there were a few annoying regressions. Google switched image formats (from WebP to PNG/JPEG), causing screenshots to load slower, and navigating through the site was more difficult.

Google seemingly halted the rollout just a few days ago, perhaps due to the complaints brought up. But now the new design appears to be live for everyone, with almost nothing changed from the initial rollout.
