Recently we learned the mysterious SM-J720F phone is actually going to be called Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo and is bound to arrive in India. Today, the first press render of the phone popped up, showing a fairly standard standard Galaxy J series design. Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo The front panel of the Galaxy J7 Duo hosts a standard 16:9 screen, a physical home key below and capacitive buttons in the newer Samsung Experience designs. The selfie camera is coming with an LED flash for all the selfies in low-light environment. Looking on the left side there’s no Bixby button, with Samsung…
Now that the Samsung Galaxy S9 has launched, many mobile enthusiasts have turned their attention to one of the next Android flagships in the pipeline, the LG G7. And the good news for them is that some new details on the G7 have leaked.
The renders show a slab of a phone with a large screen that has minimal bezels. Like the iPhone X and some recent Android flagships from other companies, this LG G7 appears to have a display notch. Around back there’s a vertically stacked dual camera setup with a fingerprint reader below it. And at the bottom of the phone is a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Today’s report also claims to have some spec info for the LG G7. The device will reportedly feature a 6-inch display, Snapdragon 845 processor, dual 16MP rear cameras, and two models with different RAM and storage options: one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
These leaked specs line up with what we’ve heard in the past about the LG G7. Most of those specs fit with what we’d expect from an Android flagship in 2018, but we’ll have to wait until the G7 is officially announced before we know for sure if they’re accurate. The good news is that LG is rumored to be aiming for a May launch for the G7, so it may not be long before all is revealed.
Based on what we’ve heard about the LG G7 so far, are you looking forward to this flagship?
With less than a month to go before Huawei’s P20 event, we’re getting our best look yet at the upcoming flagship and its two variants.
Official-looking renders of the Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Lite, and Huawei P20 Pro have been leaked today by Evan Blass. All three phones have a notch at the top of their displays, but there are some differences when it comes to the fingerprint reader placement and number of rear cameras for each model.

The Huawei P20 has its fingerprint reader below its display, and around back we can see a vertically-stacked dual camera setup with flash and Leica branding. The P20 Life has a notch and dual rear camera setup, too, but its fingerprint reader is on the back of the phone, with a Huawei logo on the front below the display. And then there’s the Huawei P20 Pro with its notch, front fingerprint reader, and triple rear camera setup.

Spec details for these phones are fairly light, but the Android 8.0 Oreo-powered P20 Lite is expected to offer a 5.6-inch 2550×1080 display, octa-core Kirin 659 processor, dual 16MP rear cameras, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 3,520mAh battery. Considering that that’s the “Lite” model, the standard P20 and the P20 Pro should offer at least some specs that are higher-end.
Huawei will officially introduce its P20 at an event on March 27. Are you interested in any of these new devices?
We had a ton of leaks for the Moto G6 series throughout the past few weeks, so it was about time we hear more about the Moto E5 phones. And today we got an excellent glimpse of the Moto E5 Plus in a glorious press render. The image spills the beans on lots of the specs – an 18:9 display, a dual-camera on the back, and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. It also confirms one of the paintjobs – Light Blue. It’s uncertain if those dots at the front stand for one selfie camera and a LED flash, or two snappers without a flash. Or maybe all three of those? The Plus model should pack a…
The white Nokia 7 Plus has a copper trim around its front and elements on the back (the camera and the fingerprint reader). It seems that the black unit will have the same decoration. Nokia 7 Plus in Black, White and a comparison Also, the phone doesn’t appear to be glossy – non-Plus Nokia 7 is available in either gloss black or matte white. Speaking of colors, we like that HMD is getting more adventurous with its hues. A new computer-generated image has surfaced and it’s claimed to be of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. Like the first one it shows a dual camera and a fingerprint scanner on the back and an 18:9 screen on the front with unbelievably-slim bezels. We use that word on purpose as we expect those bezels to be a tad thicker on the actual device. Earlier today we reported that the Redmi Note 5 might have a Pro version with a Snapdragon 636 that will launch in India on February 14 alongside a tamer Snapdragon 626-yielding Redmi Note 5. However some believe that the Redmi Note 5 will be a single device…
Motorola Moto E5 surfaced last month showing the device in its full glory and now we get to see the Moto E5 Play version that will be heading to Verizon and Cricket Wireless as the E5 Cruise. Thanks to popular leakster, Evan Blass, the E5 Play almost looks very identical to the E5. Since we just … Continue reading “Moto E5 Play surfaces in first press render”
There is a lot of smartphone news lined up for Barcelona later this month at the MWC. The latest leak comes from @evleaks and shows a render of the unannounced Asus Zenfone 5 Lite. We are expecting the Asus Zenfone 5 to be the headliner at Asus’ press event but a Lite version might be debuting alongside the Zenfone 5. The render shows a smartphone with four cameras. According to Evan Blass, the phone has Dual 16MP main cameras and dual front-facing 20MP cameras for selfies and portrait camera features like (presumably) beauty mode and artificial bokeh. Evan Blass has a very solid track record with leaked renders, particularly with Samsung devices in the past. Today, @evleaks tweeted a couple of renders of the newly designed desktop docking station, updated in time for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S9. The new dock, supposedly called the “DeX Pad” is different from its predecessor in a few ways. The round area that the Galaxy S8 was supported in an upright position is no more. The new design will dock the S9 in a flat position to make it easier to use the phone’s display as a touch pad. There is also a newly redesigned ventilation…
The Galaxy S9 isn’t the only unannounced Android flagship that’s leaking today, as an image of what may be the LG G7 has made its way online.
A render that allegedly shows the LG G7 has been shared by TigerMobiles.com. The device in this image is a black slab with its screen off, but it does appear to have a design similar to the LG G6. One of the differences here is that the bezels on this device appear to be smaller than those on the LG G6.
Also appearing in this leak is what looks to be a dual front-facing camera setup.
This image is very much unconfirmed, so it should be taken with a grain or two of salt. LG’s G series hasn’t really reused any designs from one model to another, but it’s possible that LG liked the look of the G6 and decided to improve upon it by slimming the bezels further, which is a trend with flagships right now. We’ll just have to wait for LG to announce the G7 (or whatever it’ll be called) before we know for sure what it looks like.
Do you like the look of this alleged LG G7?
