The Benefits And Perks Of Having An IPhone

The iPhone has become an indispensable piece of electronics for many owners in modern times. However, using one to the utmost ability and maximizing its potential can prove challenging. For tips, tricks and techniques on how to make the very most of your iPhone, keep reading into the following paragraphs.

Take great pictures by using your headphone cord! The volume buttons can be used to take pictures now, so you can hold the cord in your other hand to keep your shots steady and clear. This method can even be used if you are resting your phone on a stand.

Save time while texting on your iPhone by tapping the space bar twice. This quick shortcut will automatically end your sentence with a period, then start a new sentence. The first letter of the new sentence will be automatically capitalized. This trick it perfect for long texts and anyone on the go.

Among its many terrific uses the iPhone’s tremendous ability to help you learn foreign languages. By downloading applications that offer vocabulary instruction as well as translation assistance in a large number of tongues, you can set yourself on the path to becoming a true citizen of the world.

Are you wanting to know how to disable your iphone 3G or Edge Connection? You have to get into the cellular data network by going into settings, then general, and then network. Type some generic words into the username and password fields, and this is just so iphone doesn’t hand over the correct values to your service provider. If you need to restart your phone, then do that as well.

A new feature the iPhone has that many people do not know about is its built-in dictionary. This can even be used as you are writing an email or text message. If there is a word that you are unsure about, just tap on it and you will see “define” pop up–tap on it!

Control your iPhone music without going to your music app by simply sliding your app bar once to the right. There you’ll be treated to a mini music control system that includes play and pause, next and previous buttons. You can even get quick access to whatever app is currently playing music in the same area.

If you accidentally drop your iPhone into some water, do not turn it on right away or you can permanently damage it. Dry the phone with a towel and sit it in a bowl of rice overnight. This will help draw out all of the water that may have gotten into hidden areas.

If you want to save time while surfing the web on your iPhone, you do not have to put in the “http”, “www” or “.com”. All you need to do is put in the desired domain name. Many people do not know about this feature and yet, it can save seconds.

If your iphone gets wet, it may not be ruined. Gently towel dry the device. Do not turn it on or use heat or wind to dry it out. Instead, place it in a baggie with some white rice, and leave it for several hours. The rice will absorb any moisture that is inside your iphone.

If you’re any kind of iPhone photographer, you already know that the volume up button on the side of your phone can be used to take snapshots. Were you aware that ANY volume up button can operate your camera, including the one on your headset cord? Increase your photographic flexibility by using the cord volume controls to take pictures from a distance.

A great tip if you’re new to owning an iphone is not to store too much personal information on your phone. If by accident, your phone is lost or even stolen, someone can easily go through it, and access all of your sensitive information. It’s a good idea to keep this in mind.

There are several shortcuts to taking pictures with your iPhone. One of these helps you quickly snap a shot by just pressing a button. Once you have positioned your iPhone on your subject, simply press the volume-up button on the side of the phone. This will snap a picture right away.

You can locate a contact you have entered on your iPhone using three different methods. Press the list, scroll with your finger, or just tap a letter to jump directly to it. The last way allows you to go though the list quickly.

It’s always frustrating when a poorly-designed app turns your iPhone into a very expensive paperweight. You can quickly regain control of your phone in these situations. All you need to do is press the Home button and hold it for at least six seconds. This will force-quit whatever application is running and let you use your iPhone again.

If you use more than one email account, make sure you choose different names for each of them. If all of your accounts are named the same thing, you can easily get confused. You can choose exactly the account you want by the individual name you have given it.

A great tip if you’re new to using the iphone is to switch the display to however you want it. Some people don’t like having the black lettering on the white background. You can actually flip it around and have white lettering on a black background. This makes it easier on the eyes.

Stream your favorite movies and games through your iphone now. Iphones now hold contracts with the premier streaming companies, so you can watch Netflix and Hulu right on your iphone. This is a great feature to have if you are sitting in the back of a vehicle on a long road trip, or a have a long bus ride ahead of you.

If you own an iPhone, you know just how powerful a tool it can be in making your life easier to deal with. Apply what you have learned from this article to get the most out of your iPhone as you carry it with you throughout your daily life and schedule.

Verizon Launches Rewards Program with Incredible Perks

Verizon Wireless on Monday introduced a new rewards program that’ll grant various perks for subscribers just for paying their monthly bills.

‘Verizon Up’ works like this: for every $ 300 spent on Verizon products or services — including money spent on a monthly phone bill — a customer will earn one credit. But unlike other rewards programs that require saving “thousands of points in exchange for a small selection of trivial items,” Verizon says, one credit will equal one reward. Each month, a rotating roster of six new rewards will be available for customers to choose from.

This month, those rewards include up to four months of free Apple Music service for subscribers new to Verizon, or a free one month subscription for existing customers. Among the other available awards are 20 percent off roundtrip JetBlue airfares, three free months of HBO NOW, 2 gigabytes of bonus monthly data, and up to $ 10-per-credit toward a new device.

But that won’t be the extent of available perks. New rewards will be added monthly, and will range “range from everyday delights to VIP experiences.” Some of Verizon’s rewards partners include Amazon, Google Play, Nike and Starbucks. Additionally, the company will offer what it calls Super and Dream Tickets. Basically, “access to the most sought after events” in sports, music and entertainment shows, from Broadway to the NFL. Not to be outdone, Verizon said that it would also randomly give away “free stuff” to Up members, even if they haven’t yet earned any credits.

A few caveats: the rewards program is only available to postpaid U.S. customers who are enrolled in Verizon Selects. Additionally, credits expire 60 days after they are earned, and all rewards will also carry an expiration date. Customers can sign up for Verizon Up through the My Verizon app.
