OnePlus is most likely forging ahead with a new flagship phone that will launch this summer, but it hasn’t completely forgotten about the flagships of yesteryear. The OnePlus 3 and 3T are getting new open beta versions today. The changes appear to be the same, but the version numbers are different. The OP3 gets v32 and the OP3T is v23.

OnePlus 5 got the Android 8.0 (Oreo) update earlier this year and the OnePlus 5T got the Oreo update last month. Now the company has started rolling out OxygenOS Open Beta 6 and Open Beta 4 for the 5 and 5T, respectively that brings Android 8.1 Oreo for both. This also brings new Gaming mode optimizations, new auto pickup gesture for incoming call and the OnePlus Switch has been updated to support migration of application data. OnePlus 5T gets Android 8.0 Oreo update with OxygenOS 5.0.2

Following some beta releases, the OnePlus 5T is ready for its official Android Oreo update.

OnePlus today released OxygenOS 5.0.2 for the OnePlus 5T. This is the first official Android 8.0 Oreo update for the 5T, which launched in mid-November with Android Nougat in tow.

Along with a bump to Android Oreo, which brings new features like picture-in-picture, the update to OxygenOS 5.0.2 includes general bug fixes and improvements as well as a CPU security patch. OnePlus has updated some of its custom apps in this update, too.

OnePlus has started pushing out a new update to its OnePlus 5 smartphone. Arriving as OxygenOS 5.0.2, the update brings the promised Face Unlock feature. The changelog also includes a CPU security patch (CVE-2017-13218), enhanced EIS for video recording, and updates to Launcher, Gallery, Weather, and File Manager apps. Around a couple of weeks after the previous version went out to eager testers, OnePlus has today released the new Oxygen OS Open Beta 3 for the 5T. This addresses the controversial findings revealed a few days ago regarding the Clipboard functionality. OnePlus’ solution is to simply remove the Clipboard function, based on user feedback allegedly.
