Building on photos of an "iPhone 8" mockup published last week, a video posted to Twitter on Tuesday appears to show an identical dummy unit in the hands of a user, offering a taste of what the next-generation handset might look like when it is released this fall.

The world’s first self-sailing, electric cargo ship set to replace 40,000 diesel trucks


Two companies are taking autonomous vehicles to the next level with self-sailing ships. Norwegian companies Yara International and Kongsberg Maritime are teaming up to create the world’s first autonomous, fully-electric, zero-emission cargo ship. The battery-driven vessel will be able to haul 100 containers up to 65 nautical miles, according to The Journal. Yara and Kongsberg believe this should cut down on 40,000 truck journeys per year. People have been buzzing about Google’s Fuchsia project, an open source operating system that popped up on GitHub a few months ago. Some have even speculated that Fuchsia could be a replacement for Android down the road. Someone brought this up at the Android Fireside Chat, and VP of engineering for Android Dave Burke replied by basically not talking about Fuchsia.

Watch the first action-packed trailer for Black Lightning, The CW’s new superhero show

During today’s upfronts, The CW dropped the first trailer for Black Lightning, its latest superhero show. It shows off plenty of superpowered action, but the show won’t be part of the larger DC universe that the network has put together.

Played by Cress Williams, Black Lightning is one of DC’s first black superheroes, and as the name suggests, his powers are based in electricity. In this trailer, he’s described as a hero who kept the streets safe from a gang known as the 100, but after one particularly nasty fight in 2005, he retired. As Jefferson Pierce, he became a high school principal and a devoted father. Fast forward to 2017, and the city’s gang violence hasn’t gone away.
