Sleep++ App for Apple Watch Now Offers Automatic Sleep Tracking

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

If you’re someone who wears your Apple Watch while sleeping, you may be familiar with the Sleep++ app for the Apple Watch, which offers sleep tracking and analyzing functionality.

Sleep++ was today updated to version 3 and it’s gained a new feature that makes it easier than ever to keep track of sleep quality, length, and other metrics while sleeping — automatic tracking.

The Sleep++ automatic sleep tracking feature kicks in when Apple Watch wearers go to bed at night and stops tracking in the morning, so Sleep++ users no longer need to start and stop sleep tracking every night. For more precise tracking, though, manual options continue to be available.

Today’s Sleep++ update also includes other features like bedtime reminders, notifications with a summary of the previous night’s sleep quality, and the ability to set a nightly sleep goal to reach.

Apple Watch does not have any built-in sleep tracking capabilities because Apple has designed it to be charged at night and worn during the day, but third-party apps are able to provide this missing functionality for users who prefer to wear their watches to bed.

Apple does offer a sleep tracking solution in the form of the Beddit, an accessory that it acquired last year. The Beddit sleep tracker, which also offers automatic sleep tracking, slips under your sheet and monitors sleep quality, heart rate, and other metrics. It does cost $150, though, so it’s far less affordable than a third-party Apple Watch app.

Sleep++ can be downloaded from the App Store for free. [Direct Link]

Sleep++ 3 for Apple Watch adds automatic sleep tracking, morning sleep summary, more

How Complete Beginners are using an ‘Untapped’ Google Network to create Passive Income ON DEMAND

Apple’s Health app supports sleep tracking data on the iPhone, but populating the category with useful data can be a challenge.

You can capture some data using the Bedtime feature in the Clock app, but dedicated sleep trackers can be more reliable and offer more robust data and Apple hasn’t offered its own Apple Watch sleep tracking yet despite buying Beddit almost a year ago.

Sleep++ is a third-party app that lets you turn your Apple Watch into a dedicated sleep tracker, and today’s 3.0 release makes that much easier with automatic sleep tracking and new goal features.

First, the company has announced that it’s bringing automatic English captions to live streams whenever professionally provided captions aren’t available. The continued goal is to make streams accessible for more people.

These captions utilize the company’s live automatic speech recognition (LASR) technology, which is “approaching” industry standards for error rates and latency. How to enable automatic app downloads on Apple TV

How do you download an app on your iPhone or iPad and have it also download on your Apple TV? The answer: automagically!

You can set up your Apple TV so that any app you download on your iPhone or iPad is also — automatically! — downloaded on your Apple TV. There are a couple of caveats: the developer has to make a version for the Apple TV, and the developer has to bundle it with the iOS apps ·(i.e. not sell and charge for it separately). Lots of apps are like that, though!

Even better, Apple has updated its iTunes Link Maker tool to include tvOS apps. That means, even if an app is exclusive to Apple TV, you can still download it from your iPhone with the proper iTunes link.

How to enable automatic downloads on Apple TV

In order to download Apple TV apps using your iPhone, you’ll need to have automatic downloads enabled on your Apple TV.

  1. Launch the Settings app on Apple TV
  2. Click on Apps.
  3. Click on Automatically Install Apps.

    • If the feature is enabled, you will see “On” next to it.

Whenever you download an app or game that is supported on Apple TV, it will automatically appear on you Apple TV’s Home screen.

How to disable automatic downloads on Apple TV

If you decide that you don’t want to clutter up your Apple TV with a bunch of apps and games you only intended to use on your iPhone or iPad, you can always disable automatic downloads. You’ll still be able to purchase Apple TV exclusive content on your iPhone, iPad, or computer, but you’ll have to manually download them onto your Apple TV from the Purchased tab.

  1. Launch the Settings app on Apple TV
  2. Click on Apps.
  3. Click on Automatically Install Apps.

    • If the feature is disabled, you will see “Off” next to it.

Any questions?

Do you have any questions about enabling or disabling automatic downloads on Apple TV? Let me know in the comments and I’ll help you out with any problem you may have.
