Motorola is sending Save the Dates to an event on April 19. AndroidPIT got hold of the invitation, which reveals that the event will be held in São Paulo, Brazil. The invitation also includes the phrase “helloyou”.
What the invitation doesn’t say is what Motorola is planning to show at this event. One possibility is the Moto G6, which is expected to have Plus and Play variants. It’s now been a little more than a year since the Moto G5 debuted, so the time is right for another entry is Motorola’s line of affordable Android smartphones.
When the visually stunning platformer Viking Mushroom went silent after its initial unveiling back in the summer of 2015, nobody was more excited than I was to see it resurrected under a brand new name last month. That new name is Oddmar, and it really looked like the few years of silence were put to good use polishing up the experience. Oddmar is a free movement platformer starring a viking of the same name who is out to protect the world from a bad guy with a humongous nose. Or something like that. It’s from some of the folks who are responsible for Leo’s Fortune [$ 4.99], one of the best platformers on mobile, so you know Oddmar is worth getting excited about. We were able to go hands-on with Oddmar during GDC a couple of weeks back, and were really impressed with what we saw. Here’s the official trailer again in case you missed it before.
Pretty crazy, yeah? Ever since seeing that new trailer, I’ve been dying to know when I’d be able to get my hands on the official release version of Oddmar. Well, now we know. The game is set to launch on April 19th for $ 4.99, and it’s up for pre-order on the App Store right now. Just click on this link on an iOS 11 device and you’ll be taken to the App Store page for Oddmar where you’ll purchase the game and, when it launches, you’ll get a notification on your device that it’s out and the game itself will automatically download to your phone or tablet. It’s like buying stuff in the future. So if you’ve been excited for Oddmar too, whether it be from its recent re-introduction or from back when it was known as Viking Mushroom, I think it’s pretty safe to go ahead an pre-order this sucker and look forward to playing it nonstop once April 19th rolls around.
Just this morning Jam City announced that the upcoming release for their choose your own adventure game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is slated for April 25th. But that isn’t the only news coming from the studio. They have also announced that a few of the actors from the Warner Bros. Harry Potter films have provided voiceover work for the game.
Motorola has sent out invites for an event in Brazil on April 10. The event is expected to introduce the new Moto G6, G6 Plus and G6 Play. We have already seen significant details of all three devices leak in the past. For example, we know all three phones will have an 18:9 display, the G6 and G6 Plus will have dual cameras and the G6 Play will have a 4000mAh battery. At this point we are really just waiting to confirm the specifications and find out about international availability and pricing. Source Via

LineageOS announced its April Fools’ Day joke at the appropriate time back on Sunday, but the gag itself wasn’t ready until the most recent builds were released yesterday. Now that it has actually landed (late), the hoax has lost both its relevance and its taste. So if you flash this week’s update and see a warning about software counterfeiting and cryptocurrency mining, don’t freak out. It’s just a very late, very bad joke.
The warning, as it appears on a freshly-updated device.
It’s Thursday, and here at 148’s spacious office that can only mean one thing – it’s time to round up all of the best games that have landed on the App Store this week. There’s a few here, and I reckon there’s going to be something for pretty much everyone on the list.
Especially if you’re a fan of classic adventure games. More on that later though. Download links are included, should you wish to flit off to the App Store and pick up a game ASAP. And if you think we’ve missed anything, feel free to shout about it in the comments down there at the bottom of the article.
Over the past few years, we’ve seen Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant expand to a wide array of electronics. This includes robots, appliances, and even bathroom mirrors. But there is one product category that Alexa hasn’t yet made an appearance in – soundbars. While you could already connect an Echo Dot to a soundbar, there hasn’t been one with Alexa already integrated.
