Next ZTE nubia Z phone will have a Snapdragon 845, AnTuTu reveals

ZTE’s nubia line has some striking designs that house the powerful chipset of the day – for the Z17 that was the Snapdragon 835 and for this newly leaked nubia NX606J it’s the Snapdragon 845. The nubia Z17s was the first in the line to feature a tall screen, 17:9. The new device – let’s call it the nubia Z19 because its model name is clunky – has an 18:9 screen. Its resolution is 1,080 x 2,160px. The Snapdragon 845 chipset runs Android 8.0, though this being a nubia means the OS is heavily customized. There’s 6GB of RAM (good) with 32GB of storage (half what the Z17s had). ZTE…

Samsung Galaxy S9+ with Snapdragon 845 hits AnTuTu with 6GB of RAM

The Samsung Galaxy S9+ (SM-G9650) – the one with a Snapdragon 845 chipset – was spotted by AnTuTu in its database. Surprisingly, this version has 6GB of RAM rather than 4GB like the Exynos 9810 version we saw on Geekbench yesterday. The rest is a familiar story, starting with an 18:9 screen with resolution defaulting to 1,080 x 2,220px (of course, that’s set in software, the hardware will be QHD+). The OS is Android 8.0 Oreo as expected and there is 64GB of built-in storage. Samsung Galaxy S9+ (Snapdragon 845) specs and score on AnTuTu The benchmark score is interesting too. It…

AnTuTu hints at an 18:9 screen for the Sony Xperia H8266

The Sony H8266 is back in the spotlight – after Geekbench, AnTuTu was its next stop. This benchmark is more detailed in the specifications it records so let’s compare them to the specs we saw earlier. AnTuTu reports an 18:9 screen with 1,080 x 2,160px resolution. Now, Sony has been reluctant to make QHD phones, though its 4K-packing Premium phones default to 1080p. Alleged Sony Xperia H8266 specs by AnTuTu Anyway, a Snapdragon 845 chipset ran Android 8.0 with fairly standard memory readings – 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage (same as the Xperia XZ1). The benchmark occasionally…

Samsung Galaxy C10 Plus shows up on AnTuTu

A upcoming Samsung smartphone just appeared on AnTuTu’s website, sporting the model number SM-C9150, being powered by a Snapdragon 660 mated to 6GB of RAM and running Android 7.1.1. At the time of writing it’s most probable that this device will prove to be the Samsung Galaxy C10 or C10 Plus for China, although it could be named under the J series elsewhere as the Galaxy C7 (2017) before. The screenshot from the device’s profile in AnTuTu doesn’t give out much information and some of the information it does is a bit questionable. First, the 1920x1080px resolution indicates an 16:9…

Alleged AnTuTu score shows Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S flex Snapdragon 845 muscle

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S may be the first phone with Snapdragon 845, which promises to be a true powerhouse. The phone is code named “Polaris” and an early AnTuTu score is massive. There are a few important things to note here. First, the latest version of AnTuTu was used and the results are not comparable with older versions. For comparison, a Huawei Mate 10 Pro (Kirin 970) scores around 218,000 on the same version. Also, there’s no confirmation that this is indeed the Mi Mix 2S – benchmarks are easy to spoof. Alleged AnTuTu score for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S (Snapdragon 845) We might…
