OnePlus has just posted the full changelog of its newest versions of Oxygen OS’ Open Beta builds. The OnePlus 3 is on version 32 while the OnePlus 3T finds itself on version 23. Both of these builds are identical and bring the same features. Sadly, the update doesn’t bring Oreo 8.1 like the OnePlus 5/5T’s latest Open Beta, so the 3 and 3T are still on Oreo 8.0. Shortly after OnePlus confirmed the OnePlus 3/3T will be getting Face Unlock support, a new OxygenOS beta build has been made available for the devices, and it contains exactly that. The update arrives as Open Beta 30 for the OnePlus 3 and 21 for the OnePlus 3T. OxygenOS 5.0 for the OnePlus 3 and 3T, based on Android 8.0 Oreo, was released last month. As is usually the case for major software releases, there were a few bugs that cropped up. OxygenOS 5.0.1 is now available for the OP3/3T with a few new features and bug fixes, but it’s causing a harmful app warning to appear for some users.

With all of the OnePlus 5T news, and the admittedly righteous anger from some of the OP community, it’s easy to forget about yesteryear’s phones. Both the OP3/OP3T received another Open Beta update, which is supposed to improve the overall Oreo experience on the two devices.

Oreo comes to the OnePlus 3/3T thanks to the latest Open Beta

OnePlus continues to impress: both of its 2016 flagships, the 3 and 3T, are getting Oreo thanks to the Open Beta program. So if you’re running OnePlus’ latest and greatest software, then this is an update worth getting excited for. And if you’re not living life on the edge yet, then this may encourage you to do so.

  • Added Auto-fill
  • Added Smart text selection
  • New Quick Settings design
  • Updated security patch to September

Launcher

  • Added notification dots
  • Now able to upload photos directly to Shot on OnePlus

Known issues of the first Android O Beta

  • Fingerprint unlock may be a bit slow in some situations
  • Shortcut to access Google Photos is unavailable
  • Stability of NFC and Bluetooth need to be improved
  • Performance and compatibility of 3rd party apps will be optimized continuously
  • Complete device tree will be released after a week

The OnePlus Music app has been removed from this build.
