NVIDIA announces GTX 1070 Ti for $449

NVIDIA has announced yet another graphics card based on the Pascal architecture, the GTX 1070 Ti. As you can tell from the name, this new card slots between the existing 1070 and 1080 cards. Like the name, the 1070 Ti specs also slot neatly between the 1070 and 1080. It has 2432 CUDA cores, 1607MHz base clock, 1683MHz boost clock, 8Gbps 8GB GDDR5 memory with 256-bit memory bandwidth. The card has a TDP of 180W. The 1070 Ti will be available from NVIDIA as a Founder’s Edition card and from hardware partners for starting price of $ 449. Sales will begin worldwide on November…

The $ 449 price does seem a little odd, given that it’s just $ 50 more to upgrade to the extremely well-received 1080, but it’s possible that Nvidia is looking to put pressure on AMD’s (theoretically) $ 399 RX Vega 56 GPU.

Compared to the 1070, the 1070 Ti offers improvements when it comes to specs, offering 2,432 CUDA cores compared to the 1,920…
